   A person reads what the organization publishes about itself, compares it with the Apostles’ Creed, and checks the practical details, before anything goes live.

   Publish and maintain

   The listing goes public, and we update it as hours, services, contact information, and other details change.

What we check before adding a ministry

Being listed here is not an endorsement of everything an organization does, and nobody can see into anyone’s heart. What a person can do is read what an organization says about itself and hold it against something fixed. For us that is the Apostles’ Creed, one of the oldest summaries of Christian belief and one shared across denominations.

• The organization publishes something about what it believes, on its own website or in its own materials. Where it does not, we ask.
• What it publishes lines up with the Apostles’ Creed below.
• It offers real, practical help to people who are not already part of it.
• Its contact details reach a real place or a real person.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

“Catholic” here means universal, the whole Christian church through every age and place. It is not a reference to the Roman Catholic Church, and this directory is not tied to any one denomination.
