Mission: Harbor Light is a family of followers of Jesus Christ. We are a community of diverse cultures and generations. Right now: Core Values RESCUE When we are rescued, we are brought to safety and security in Christ. Harbor Light is a sanctuary, not just a building, but a diverse family of loving refuge. Like a lighthouse we are called to provide illumination, direction, protection, and liberation. Jesus said, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5.16 NIV) RECOVER Battered vessels need repair. Harbor Light seeks to be a place of healing and renewal. This includes physical, emotional, spiritual, marital, relational, and financial recovery. "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1Thessalonians 5.23 NIV) REBUILD When a ship comes into harbor especially after a damaging storm, it has to be refurbished and outfitted. It is raised, docked and fully equipped for its next voyage. We are building leaders, empowered by the Holy Spirit with a workable profile of their unique gifts, their passion and their personal style. Classes, assessments and coaching help identify these strengths for placement in ministries most suited for fruitful and fulfilling service. We want more than gifted leaders; we want healthy and mature servants. RELEASE Releasing involves sending! People, like vessels, are commissioned with a destiny. We rescue, recover, rebuild and release people as guiding lights to our families, neighbors, and workplace, in all our cultures locally and globally. This Harbor Light is guiding people full circle into Christ's co-mission. In the Bible, God tells us to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)
Services offered
- Bible Study for Women: We have an on-going, Sunday morning Bible study for women which meets from 8:30 - 10:00 AM. We meet in room O6 which is located directly across for the library on the school campus.
- Harbor Light Youth: every Sunday night From 6:00pm - 7:45pm
- in the church y-building. Harbor Light Youth is designed to lead students, 12-17 years old, closer to Jesus and empower them to be a light in their schools. Youth Nights will consist of games, food, messages, worship, & fun!
- Harbor Kids: Harbor Light believes that each child is special and important to God. We are committed to providing a quality, age-appropriate learning environment where children can experience God's love, learn about the saving power of Jesus Christ. Children have opportunities to learn about the baptism of Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit and able to encounter the presence of God for themselves. We strive for excellence in all we do as we minister to children and families. We believe in the importance of children learning the things of God as they develop a personal relationship with Him. We have Sunday morning services and Sunday night discipleship groups.
- CHILDCARE (ages 0 - 23 months & 2 - 5 yrs): Child care is offered every Sunday morning during our service. Children will experience time for free play, worship, a Bible story, snack, and special projects or coloring pages. Both nurseries can be accessed through our foyer. Parent(s) will need to enter with their child for check-in and a brief wellness check by our caring staff.
- ELEMENTARY (K-6th): Kindergarten - Sixth grade students have plenty of opportunities here at Harbor Light. Sunday mornings we have a 10:30am Kid's Church service just for elementary students. Your kids can be dropped off at the Y-Building for their very own service. Sunday nights at 6:00pm we have separate discipleship clubs for both boys and girls. Boys may attend Royal Rangers in the FCS gym. Girls may attend Girls Ministries in the FCS activities building. Both Rangers and Girls Ministries are scouting programs (similar to Boy Scouts/ Girl Scouts) where your child can go on trips and earn badges. It is never too late to register!

- CLEANSING STREAM Course - 13 weeks, Fall 2026: Inspiring videos, a thought-provoking curriculum, and honest discussion make this a powerful tool for personal healing and growth. Learn to put God's Word first and experience freedom from those areas of your life where you feel "stuck". Class options available are Sundays (8:30-10 am) starting on August 23 and Tuesdays (7-9 pm) starting September 1, for 13 weeks.
- FOUNDATIONS CLASS - Saturdays, Church Conference room, 2-4pm: 7 studies designed to establish followers of Jesus. Jesus is not looking for fans, but true disciples. If you’re ready to allow God to inspire, challenge, and change your life, this course is for you. It begins Saturday at 2 pm from September 19 for 7 weeks Leaders: Andrew & Mimi Pang

- UPLIFT - Tuesdays, 6-7pm, Worship Arts Studio: Join our senior saints each Tuesday at 6pm for hymn-singing, teaching, prayer, and a monthly dinner night out. 3rd Tuesday is off-site at a local restaurant & 4th Tuesday is our birthday celebration with cake and coffee. Leader: Mike Lopez

- FEED THE UNHOUSED - 1st Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm, Abode Homeless Shelter, Fremont: This team serves dinner, in the name of Jesus, at Abode Homeless Shelter on the 1st Tuesday of every month. Leader: Melissa Sanguinette
- LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD - 2nd Saturday, 10:30am-12pm, various locations: Join a team that visits homeless encampments in the local tri-city area, serving hot meals, providing clothes & personal hygiene items, and showing the love of Jesus. Leaders: James and Lynne Osborn.

Our Core Beliefs HARBORLIGHT is a thoroughly Pentecostal church. Some of the things that characterize our faith are Salvation through Jesus Christ, healing, speaking in tongues through the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the return of our Savior Jesus Christ. We are part of the Assemblies of God denomination. Two years after the church's founding, the pioneers of the Assemblies of God adopted 16 beliefs for the Fellowship, which remain virtually unchanged. Four of these beliefs are considered the core beliefs of the Fellowship. You may hear them referred to as our cardinal doctrines. They weave in and through all the teaching, music, preaching, discussions... everything we do. The Church's message revolves around these four defining beliefs. Salvation Through Jesus Christ Ordinary people can be friends with God Salvation is deliverance from spiritual death and enslavement by sin. God provides salvation for all who believe and accept His free offer of forgiveness. Mankind's only hope of redemption from the fallen sinful state is through the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son-blood that was shed as Jesus died on the cross. [The account of the crucifixion of Jesus is recounted by four of His contemporaries: Matthew (chapter 27), Mark (chapter 15), Luke (chapter 23), and John (chapter 19).] (Luke 24:47; John 3:3,16,17; Rom. 8:16; 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8,9; 4:24; Titus 2:11-12; 3:5-7) Divine Healing God cares about your physical well-being Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:16,17; James 5:14-16) Baptism in the Holy Spirit God wants to strengthen and enable you All believers are entitled to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and therefore should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all believers in the early Christian church. With the experience comes the provision of power for victorious Christian living and productive service. It also provides believers with specific spiritual gifts for more effective ministry. The baptism of Christians in the Holy Spirit is accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues (unlearned languages) as the Spirit of God gives them audible expression. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8; 2:4; 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; 1 Cor. 12:1-31) The Second Coming of Christ Jesus will return and take us to be with Him All Christians who have died will one day rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air. Christians who have not yet died will be raptured or caught up with them, to be with the Lord. Then Christians of all ages will live with God forever. The scriptural truth of the Lord's soon return is "the blessed hope". (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13)

Leadership
Our Pastors: -Tim Inman, lead pastor Pastor Tim joined the Harbor Light team in 2014 as Executive Pastor after serving as a missionary to Northern Ireland for 10 years. In January of 2024, Pastor Tim was installed as the new Lead Pastor. He has a vision to serve our local community and especially enjoys finding new ways to connect people to Jesus and to the church. Pastor Tim and his wife Lauri have 5 children and when he gets a spare moment he enjoys skateboarding, tending his bees and making things. -Dave Chiolero, Small groups Pastor Dave Chiolero has a heart to see people grow and develop their personal walk with Jesus. He is very relational and uses that gifting to invest in the lives of those in his ministry. He began his ministry career in 1993 and is currently the Adult/Connections pastor here at Harbor Light. He and his wife Kim have 5 children and his father’s heart makes him a wonderful mentor and coach to our small group leaders. -Amanda Coffman, Children Pastor Amanda has been involved in Children's Ministries for over 15 years and believes if children taste and see the supernatural power of God and His Presence, they will never settle for a counterfeit. She wants to help children really KNOW God. She is passionate about teaching children to develop and understand Biblical principals and most importantly to experience God's extravagant love for themselves. In her down time, Amanda likes watching movies, watching sports (in person when possible), being outdoors and camping, spending time with family and friends, drawing and creative projects. -Lauri Inman, Women Pastor Lauri loves family, friendships and the comfort of a well-made cup of tea. She counts it a privilege to help Harbor Light women connect to each other and grow in Christ! In her free time you might find Lauri spending time with her husband Tim and their children. She loves home improvement shows, especially with a well-made cup of tea (did we mention she loves good tea?). -Mary Inman, Prayer Discipleship Pastor Mary Inman has been in pastoral ministry with her husband Terry since 1969. She is amazed at the gifts God has given her in her 7 boys, their wives and over 30 grandchildren. She is passionate about helping people discover their destiny, and equipping and releasing them into their unique purpose. She enjoys gardening, mentoring women, and speaking. -Terry Inman, Associate Pastor Pastor Terry cares deeply for people and has a shepherd’s heart which is evident in the way he communicates the gospel. He has been pastoring since 1970 and was the Senior Pastor at Harbor Light from 1994 until January 2024. Pastor Terry feels called to minister to people and churches; helping guide them out of stormy waters and into safe harbor in Christ. Pastor Terry and his wife Mary have 7 sons and over 30 grandchildren. He enjoys photography, nature and daily walks with their dog. -Hannah Johnson, Worship Pastor Hannah began leading worship in Junior High at Harbor Light Youth. Her desire is to seek the presence of God with others and create a resting place for Him at Harbor Light. Hannah attended UPPERROOM School of Ministry in Dallas, TX. She loves helping people hear the voice of God and partner with the Holy Spirit in worship. Before anything else, her only agenda is Jesus. In her free time, Hannah enjoys family game nights, good coffee or matcha, tennis and napping (because rest is holy). -Marcos Valencia, Youth Pastor Marcos grew up at Harbor Light Church and is a FCS graduate. He served as a youth leader for over five years before coming on staff. He has a heart for mentoring students and helping them cultivate a deep, personal relationship with Jesus. He is dedicated to creating a warm and engaging environment where every student feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow in their faith. Outside of ministry, Marcos enjoys spending time with family, exploring creative film projects, and watching action and Western movies, especially the ones with Clint Eastwood.
