Mission: The vision God gave to Lingliang Church was that He would build a glorious church. But what exactly is a glorious church? In 1998, when God established the Tree of Life Lingliang Church, He gave us Revelation 22:2: "On one side of the river and on the other, there is the tree of life, which bears twelve kinds of fruit. It yields its fruit every month, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations." This passage of scripture explains God's will for us and allows us to see a part of the vision of God's glorious church. A glorious church is a healthy church, because Ephesians 5:25-27 tells us, "Just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to sanctify her by washing her with water through the word, so that she might present to himself a church of glory, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless." The church is healthy because Christ is the head of the church, and because we are united with the Lord and centered on God. This is especially true in three aspects: 1. Have a life belief that God is the Lord. That is to say, we joyfully obey God's word. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." To this end, the church has designed some basic courses to teach the disciples of the Lord Jesus to move towards this goal. Basic Courses - Evangelical Theology, the Gospels in the Old and New Testaments, the Beatitudes, Inductive Bible Study, and Solitude with God. 2. Have God-centered interpersonal relationships. John 13:34-35 says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." This means emulating the Lord Jesus' love for us—loving one another and sacrificing oneself for one another. God's word also gives us concrete examples of the practical meaning of loving one another and sacrificing oneself for one another… "Therefore put away falsehood and speak the truth to your neighbor, for we are all members of one another." (Ephesians 4:25) "Bear one another's burdens, thus fulfilling the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2) But how do we share each other's burdens? How do we tell the truth? This is what the Bible means when it says, "A fitting word spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." Sometimes people think they are helping others share their burdens, but in reality, they are adding to their burdens. Like Job's friend, who thought he was helping but was actually making things worse. David and Jonathan, on the other hand, truly told the truth and shared each other's burdens. Therefore, the church has prepared some basic courses to teach the disciples of the Lord Jesus to move toward the goal of loving one another. Basic Courses – Serving with Gifts, Caring and Counseling, Learning from Mistakes, How We Love. We hope to use these tools to help our brothers and sisters cultivate loving relationships with one another. And in using these tools, our lives will also be trained and grow. 3. Having a life mission centered on God. As stated in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” In other words, when we experience the grace of the Lord, we should share God's goodness with others, so that they too may come to him. Therefore, the church has prepared courses to teach us the truth about evangelism. Basic Course – A Look at Evangelism and Five Key Strategies for the Gospel. When we have God-centered beliefs, relationships, and life missions, not only will our lives become healthier, but we will also make society healthier. Most importantly, God's glory will be manifested through the church.

Denomination and statement of faith

We believe in the Trinity, the one true God. The Father is the true God who created the universe and everything. Jesus Christ, the Son, being equal to God, came into the world as a human being. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He gave His life on the cross to redeem the sins of mankind. The punishment He suffered brought peace, and His wounds brought healing. On the third day He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. He will surely return to judge the world. The Holy Spirit is the God who dwells within believers. The fullness of the Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, serve God, and bear witness for the Lord. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, completely inerrancy, and the foundation of all faith and life. We believe that a person's salvation is not based on their own merits, but solely on justification by faith. We believe that Christ is the head of the church, and the church is the body of Christ, bearing witness to the glory of God.
