Overview
VIVE Church Oakland is one of the Bay Area locations of VIVE Church, a globally connected, locally focused ministry founded by Pastors Adam and Keira Smallcombe in Palo Alto in 2012. The Oakland campus is led by Campus Pastors Bobby and Abi Johnson, who joined the VIVE family in 2018 and have a heart for seeing the city of Oakland and the East Bay transformed.
Mission: "Awakening People to the Reality of Jesus and Bringing Heaven to Earth."
Services offered
- Royal Kids: Children's ministry for ages 6 months to 11 years, split into groups for 6 months–3 years and 4–11 years.
- Vox Gen: Youth ministry.
- Kaleo: Young adult ministry.
- VIVE Girl Sisterhood: Women's ministry.
- Brotherhood: Men's ministry
- VIVE Worship: Worship/music ministry.
- Hope Hangar: Outreach ministry, run through VIVE's nonprofit arm, partnering with local organizations to serve vulnerable community members.
- Hype Network: Youth/young adult outreach.

Get involved
Serve Teams: People can get involved by attending a Sunday service, joining a small group, or serving on a team. Hope Hangar: VIVE's nonprofit outreach arm partners with local organizations to mobilize the community and support those most vulnerable in Oakland and the East Bay: a direct avenue for hands-on volunteering.
Donating
Generosity is central to VIVE Church's culture and is described as a response to what Jesus has done for the congregation. Every gift supports the church's work of awakening hearts locally and around the world.
